The night will feature live music from the German American Musicians, honoring Frank’s outstanding commitment to German culture and community. From his beginnings in 1956 as a Schuhplattler with SGTV Edelweiss to his lifelong role as a musician, designer, and cultural ambassador, Frank’s story is an integral part of Buffalo’s German heritage.
This celebration will showcase Frank’s incredible journey so far, highlighting his contributions such as teaching Schuhplattling, serving in Vietnam, founding F.J. Wailand Associates, Inc., and designing key elements of Hofbrauhaus Buffalo. Artifacts, articles, and reflections, including features from the Volksfreund, will also be displayed. But what’s next for Frank? As he continues to support and promote German culture, Frank is sure to leave an even greater mark on our community through future projects and cultural initiatives.
